Interview Advice

Research

It is vital that you have a thorough understanding of the company you are interviewing with. Which markets do they deal in, how large they are, how many offices, why you want to work for them? It is always impressive for an interviewer to feel that the candidate they are interviewing has taken the time to research the role they are being considered for. Use your recruitment agency, the Internet and company brochures, if relevant, to glean as much information as you can.

It is also important that you know the name and position of the interviewer and have the address and directions of the office. If you are going to be late, call your agency or the company direct to let them know. When you arrive make an apology again to the interviewer, but don't dwell on it.

The Night Before

Make sure you are prepared for your interview in terms of company research, what you are going to wear and that you know where you are going for interview. Don't do anything the night before that might impair your performance the next day - it is important that you are fresh and alert during the interview.
