First Impressions

Your interviewer will make an initial judgement of you by the way you present yourself. It is important that YOU make an impression rather than the clothes that you are wearing. Always err on the side of conservatism in your interview attire.

Men - a dark suit, white or blue shirt with a contrasting tie and 'proper' lace up or slip on black shoes - think city rather than fashion and make sure you are pressed and polished. Joke/character ties and socks and matching tie/shirt combinations are not acceptable.

Ladies - similarly need to wear a dark skirt or trouser suit, light coloured shirt ideally with a collar. Again, think city rather than fashion and be conservative in the length of your skirt / depth of décolletage. Always wear tights/stockings and plain polished dark court shoes. Don't go overboard on make up and keep hair tidy.

Jewellery should be kept to a minimum for both sexes and facial piercings removed.

Remember, you will be working in a professional environment and meeting clients and candidates and making an impression on behalf of the company. The impression you make at this stage to your interviewer will play a big part in how they think you will represent their company.
